The group stages for the 2020 Asian Champions League have been drawn although we still await who from Japan will take the remaining spot in Group G.
K-League champions Jeonbuk will meet Sydney FC and recent J-League champions Yokohama Marinos in what looks like being the hardest group of the bunch. Meanwhile Ulsan’s reward for blowing the league title on the final day is a clash with Chinese FA Cup winners Shanghai Shenhua which of course means a certain Kim Shin-wook makes a return to Korea.
Next year’s ACL will see Suwon Bluewings lock horns again with Chinese giants Evergrande for the first time since 2017, both those games ending in 2-2 draws. They will also face Malaysia’s Johor Darul Ta’zim who made their debut in the group stages last year.
I will keep you updated as the groups continue to take shape, below are the groups as things stand.
