I first came to Korea from Glasgow in January 2007 for one year and I’m still here. A huge fan of football and in particular Celtic FC I immediately set about finding some football to watch here. My first ever K-League match was FC Seoul v Chunnam Dragons at the Seoul World Cup stadium on a cold midweek evening. I remember being impressed by the passion of the fans and over the years I’ve made my way around various grounds. A current Seongnam FC season ticket holder I also garnered the moniker “Osaka Mark” after travelling to Japan to watch Seongnam in an ACL match in 2015 against Gamba Osaka. Although judging by the photos from said trip “Asahi Mark” or “Sake Mark” were close run seconds. As well as at Tancheon I can also be regularly found at Seoul, Bucheon or Incheon with the occasional away trip to Suwon an essential date.
I started this blog in 2014 as a way of recording the highs and lows and bad beers of being a Korean football fan.
